Welcome to Faculty of Environmental Protection
The course program at the Faculty of Environmental Protection is following dynamic changes of environment, meeting the requirements of new competences and knowledge but also skills that are required from individuals both from economy and state institutions. Students will be trained to use all analytical instruments for environment management, fitting fully in the environmental protection expert profile while developing critical opinion necessary for problem solving, project management, interpersonal relations and team work.
Students who finish this faculty will be prepared to plan analytically, apply and control all the aspects of environmental management, understand functioning from the aspect of environmental protection (including the environment „hidden” in economic, financial, market and other aspects of operation), to follow legal framework that companies have to observe, to learn the concept of sustainable (economy) development of a company as well as to understand the examples of good practice.
Educational profile understands the importance of partnership of all stakeholders in the process of information and decision making (thus it may be intended for strengthening of knowledge in non-governmental sector, unions and other interested groups) with anticipated and appropriate practice. The team of professors at the University of the Faculty of Environmental Protection is comprised of professors and scientists with significant references from this field being a guaranty of a quality course program. With a team of permanent teachers and staff, the faculty also enabled guest professors from leading relevant faculties in the world. The Faculty of Environmental Protection manages and is involved in the projects in the field of environmental protection that are of national and provincial importance and they are intensively involved in international cooperation.
